Why do I need regular health checks?
Once you have lived with T1D for a couple of years, some of our organs, including the heart, blood vessels, kidneys, eyes, nerves, gums and feet, can develop subtle changes. If changes to your organs are found early, there are strategies to stop or delay the progression of T1D-related complications.
